Project Overview

Flint Energies serves a large and very rural electric cooperative territory across 17 counties in the middle of Georgia. With such a large community and limited to no broadband options available, Flint Energies partnered with Connexon Connect to build a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network in hopes of breaking the digital divide in rural America and serving their community. 

The FTTH network spans 3,000 miles over fiber, represents an investment of $90 million, and provides internet to more than 31,000 co-op members. The counties served by Connect, powered by Flint Energies, are Crawford, South Houston, Macon, Marion, Muscogee, Peach, Schley, Talbot, and Taylor.
